League President Robert Julian continued in the statement saying that

We have engaged in watchful waiting in the hope we could commence play on either May 29 or on a later date, but we are now persuaded that the likelihood and probability of either option is low to non-existent. We understand that the issues faced by our state and local governments create unsurmountable hurdles that prevent us from safely playing....We look forward to the 2021 season.

The PGCBL serves as a summer collegiate baseball league offering players from around the country the opportunity to play a season following their college season. Many PGCBL alumni have gone on to play in various levels of Major League Baseball. The PGCBL announcement comes days after the New York Collegiate Baseball League also announced no 2020 season

Along with the other seven franchises that include

Jamestown Tarp Skunks

Geneva Red Wings (Goz a former employee of the franchise in 2010)

Newark Pilots

Oneonta Outlaws

Saugerties Stallions

Watertown Rapids

Utica Blue Sox
