The Philadelphia Phillies are just one win away from heading back to the National League Championship Series.  The hung on for a 3-2 win over the St. Louis Cardinals in game three of the NLDS.  Cole Hamels pitched a masterpiece for Philadelphia, allowed no runs on 5 hits through 6 innings.  He also struck out 8.

The Phillies were finally able to get to Cardinals pitcher Jaime Garcia in the 7th inning when they knocked him for 3 runs, which would end up being the only scoring the Phillies needed.  St. Louis had a late rally going in the bottom of the 8th, but Ryan Madson was able to hold strong and get the save and the Phillies go on to take a 2-1 series lead.

Game 4 between these two teams will take place tomorrow night at 6pm on TBS.  The Phillies can close things out with a win at Busch Stadium.
