Pro Football Hall of Famer Mike Haynes has been on the show almost every year since it started. So when Mike reached out and asked if he could share an important Father's Day message, we said give us a call!

Here's the message Mike sent:

June is National Men’s Health Awareness Month, and Haynes will be available for interviews as part of the NFL’s prostate cancer awareness program. A former cornerback for the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Raiders, Haynes can talk about being a prostate cancer survivor and the importance of being screened, and of course is also happy to discuss any topics related to current events in the football world.

As we approach Father’s Day (on Sunday, June 17), it’s an appropriate time of year for men to address various health issues, and Haynes’s messages reminding men to undergo a simple screening to detect prostate issues and emphasizing getting early treatment is as important as ever.

A simple prostate cancer screening event at the Pro Football Hall of Fame 10 years ago alerted Mike to his prostate cancer, and because he caught it early, it was treatable. He has since become a spokesman for the Urology Care Foundation’s “Know Your Stats” about prostate cancer campaign (http://www.knowyourstats.org/).
