What relief for Ranger fans.  They can take a collective deep breath as the Rangers are moving on to the second round of the NHL playoffs, and the Ottawa Senators are heading back to Canada.

New York  was able to hang on for a 2-1 win over the Senators.  They will now face the Washington Capitals, and they need to hope that Henrick Lundqvist brings the same game that he brought with him while taking on Ottawa in game seven.  Lundqvist had 26 saves, and is not for a goal allowed in the second, would have been perfect.

This is a series that the Rangers thought they had in the bag from the beginning, but fell into a 3-2 deficit.  They fought back in games six and seven, and move closer to another Stanley Cup.
