The voice of the Jets Bob Wischusen jumped on with Armen this week, moments after it became official that Ed Reed was once again going to play for Rex Ryan.

"This is a zero rick, high reward type move," said Wischusen. "They're not paying Reed much of anything. He cleared waivers.

"You get a Hall of Famer that knows the defense that isn't going to play an every down role but is going to have a role and is going to help.

"It's a position the Jets don't have tremendous depth at and it doesn't impact any of the flexibility on the road for where John Idzik sees this team going."

In Houston, Reed had a diminished role for dime package and special teams only by the time he left.

Reed and Ryan were both with the Ravens for a seven-year period and it's believed that the familiarity between the two will be vital in making this the most positive experience for both sides.
