Baseball is unreal. The things that baseball players can do are unreal.

Baseball gets a lot of grief for a perceived lack of athleticism, but that couldn't be further from the truth. And the amount of hand-eye coordination needed to be really good? Insane.

Every week, a new play comes along that I find absolutely unbelievable. Recently enough, it was Brandon Phillips doing this, but today? It's the Kansas City Royals doing this.

That's second baseman Omar Infante ranging far to his right and flipping the ball to shortstop Alcides Escobar. That's Escobar then catching the ball bare handed, spinning, and firing an absolute strike to first baseman Eric Hosmer.

The ingenuity of Infante to think of that on the fly is brilliant. The preparedness of Escobar to even be ready for that is also amazing.

And then the pure execution is a joy to watch.

Well done, Royals. Wow.
