Should The NFL Abolish Kickoffs?

On Thursday, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said that the league’s competition committee will consider during the off-season the possibility of replacing the kickoff. The proposed idea is something originally mentioned by Tampa Bay head coach Greg Schiano, where instead of kicking off, a team would get a 4th-and-15 situation at their own 30-yard line. The team would then have the option of either punting the ball away or going for a first down. Is this a good idea, or do you think Roger Goodell is high?
