A riot during a soccer match in Egypt has left over 70 people dead.  Sports aren't a matter of life & death, but it's not "just a game" either.  I'll explain.

A riot during a soccer match in Egypt has left at least 74 dead and many more injured.  74 dead?  Seriously?  I always find it amazing how things get out of hand to this degree.  Can you imagine 74 people dying because of a riot during Super Bowl XLVI between the Giants and Patriots?  Me either.  Can you even imagine a riot to begin with?  Nope.  How things get out of hand to this degree during another soccer match is beyond me.

Sports shouldn't be a matter of life and death.  However, it's not "just a game" either.  Many people downplay the significance of sports outside of the sport itself.  There is a lot more meaning outside the lines.  The NoeBrainer goes into further detail.  Below is a video of the soccer riot also.  Crazy stuff.
