Spike Lee ended up with Mark Teixeira's bat on Sunday.  While Spike Lee caught Teixeira's bat, most of the fans in the outfield seats were catching home run balls during a wild game.

Filmmaker Spike Lee caught Mark Teixeira's bat in the bottom of the 1st inning on Sunday.  The Los Angeles Angels beat the New York Yankees 10-8 in a wild affair.  Alex Rodriguez popped out to Albert Pujols with the bases loaded to end the game.

Spike Lee made the Teixeira-bat-toss moment enjoyable for the crowd by swinging Teixeira's bat after it landed in the seats.  Speaking of landing in the seats, there were eight home runs hit in the game.  Both teams hit four home runs apiece.  Yankees' starting pitcher Ivan Nova gave up three home runs on the day.  Nova gave up homers to Erick Aybar, Albert Pujols, and Maicer Izturis.

Ivan Nova has now given up a team-high 20 home runs on the season.  Phil Hughes has given up the second-most home runs on the team (19).  Mark Trumbo also hit a home run for the Angels.  Alex Rodriguez, Curtis Granderson, Eric Chavez, and Mark Teixeira all hit homers for the Yankees.  The Yankees fall to 54-34 on the season, while the Angels improve to 49-40.
