Tom Coughlin and Eli Manning need to stop crying about the final play of the Giants' 41-34 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.

New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin confronted Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Greg Schiano following a 41-34 Giants' victory on Sunday.  Coughlin was mad that Tampa Bay fired off of the line of scrimmage in an effort to force a fumble in the final seconds while the Giants were kneeling on the football.  Both Coughlin and Eli Manning were whining about the play during the postgame press conference.

The Giants simply made the mistake of assuming that Tampa was going to concede the final play simply because the Giants were conceding the final play.  That incorrect assumption is totally on the Giants.  They are the ones to blame in this situation.  The NFL said on Monday that they would not be taking any action in this matter.

The same thing happened last night during the Atlanta Falcons' 27-21 win over the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football.  The Falcons were about to kneel on the football with just under a minute to play in the game.  The Broncos fired off the football to try to knock the ball loose from Matt Ryan.  Guess what the Falcons' o-line did?  They blocked the Broncos' defensive line.  What a concept!

Yes, the Capital Region is filled with Giant fans that bleed blue.  Some of the fans are too emotional about the issue with Coughlin and Eli to objectively say that the G-Men were actually the ones at fault on Sunday.  They were, and the Falcons proved it last night.  Block your opponent and shut your mouth.
