Buster Olney has been all over the country this season...and this week. With the All Star Game and Home Run Derby in Washington DC, the second half of the season getting under way tonight in Chicago when the Cubs host the Cardinals tonight on ESPN. Then this weekend Buster will be in New York for Mets at Yankees. However he still has time for us to talk trade deadline.

Buster Olney joins Levack and Goz every Thursday at 5:15 pm to share his knowledge on not only the New York Yankees and Mets but all of Major League Baseball. This week the biggest stories are the Home Run Derby and where will Manny Machado land when the Baltimore orioles trade him?

The New York Yankees are cruising right along but we all feel they are not a finished project yet. The Yankees will most likely add at least one more arm. Originally Buster Olney felt that arm would be reliever Kelvin Herrera formerly of the Kansas City Royals. Sadly he was moved to the Washington Nationals. So who does Buster think fits the Yankees now?

The New York Mets seem to be a rudderless ship and the Yankees seem to need the one asset they have. So why not get together and help each other? Buster Olney has been saying for weeks that the Yankees need a Jacob deGrom type and the Mets need a young controllable haul in return. Which is something the Yankees could provide. So will the deal get done and if not who would other teams want more than deGrom?

The New York Mets have fallen on hard times after a pretty promising start so the call is out there for them to at least consider being sellers. Now here's the issue, the best fit to make a deal is the Mets hated neighbor the Yankees. Buster attempts to explain to the Mets and anyone who will listen why this is a good idea to deal with each other. Does he think they'll buy in?

Buster Olney seems to take great joy in my (Levack) pain when the Yankees struggle. He clearly has nothing against the Yankees but he gets sick of my Yankee love. Even with all of that Buster was forced to point out he sees some similarities between Gleyber Torres and Derek Jeter.

The New York Yankees have been the victim of scheduling and terrible weather this week, leaving them with only five and a half innings played so far. Will this situation help or hurt the Yankees? Will Aaron Boone be able to use this time to help the rotation? Plus did Buster see anything during the short collision between the Yankees and Bryce Harper to make him think the Yankees could be Harper's future team?

Every week we're lucky enough to be joined by ESPN Major League Baseball Insider Buster Olney. The beauty of Buster is he not only always shoots us straight but he almost takes joy in bringing me (Levack) back down to earth. As a Yankees' fan on "your home for Yankees Baseball, I can get a little excited about the Bronx Bombers. Buster has the ability to add a little reality to my fandom.

The New York Yankees were a favorite by many if not all experts to be a powerful team this year and at least a challenge for the Boston Red Sox. So far this has been anything but a great start to the season. One of the reason many are pointing to is the historically bad start from the reigning National League MVP Giancarlo Stanton.

There's a moment during today's interview with Buster where I tell him who I believe is the best Yankee on the current roster and Buster literally laughs at me and questions my intelligence. I sadly loved it lol. Here's the deal I watch as Didi Gregorius continues to be the glue that holds this team together while improving his play. I mean the guy hits clean up on a team with Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton. He's the first Yankees shortstop to hit 25 home runs in a season and have eight RBI's in a game. Buster couldn't be convinced. lol
