Here's what we know about the return of Arena Football to the Times Union Center here in the Capital Region. We know that Head Coach Rob Keefe and Assistant Head Coach Les Moss will be back. We know the team will be part of the NAL - National Arena League. We do not know the name of the team yet but thanks to Liana Bonavita from News 10 we know when we'll know the name.
The Albany Empire left the Times Union Center field as champions of the 32nd AFL Arena Bowl on August 11th 2019 for what looked like the last time. We now know that the National Arena League is bringing indoor football back to the Times Union Center and the Albany team (Which I'm hoping will be called the Empire) just got one step closer to putting that championship team back together. Head Coach Rob Keefe will be joined by Assistant Head Coach Les Moss putting back together two of the key pieces that brought a championship to Albany with the Empire.
