Newly minted MLB Home Run Derby champion Juan Soto put on a show Monday night in Los Angelas. The 23 year-old Nationals outfielder is fresh off of declining a 15-year/$440 million offer from Washington to stay put in the nation's capital. Only a few teams in Major League Baseball seem willing to stomach contract numbers like that and two of them reside in the Big Apple.

New York Mets first-baseman Pete Alonso is never afraid to get his uniform dirty. In the fourth inning, the burly Home Run Derby champion tried to score from first on a double to the wall by new teammate Eduardo Escobar. Fleet of foot, Alonso is not. He was gunned down by Washington shortstop Alcides Escobar on a perfect throw to the plate. But that wasn't the worst of it in Game 1 of 2022 for the Polar Bear, as he is nicknamed.

Max Scherzer once again solidified himself as one of the better pitchers of his generation with his performance on Wednesday night as the Washington Nationals beat the Detroit Tigers 3-2. One of the Washington Nationals young stars inked a huge contract extension on Monday. No, it was not Bryce Harper. Right-handed pitcher Stephen Strasburg has reportedly signed a 7-year/$175 million deal to stay in Washington. This means that perhaps one of the top free agents that would be on the market next season is off the market...

Bryce Harper Makes Unusual History
The reigning NL MVP has proved how much of a threat he can be when he steps into the batters-box. Yesterday, the Chicago Cubs figured out a way to negate his slugging ability. Sort of. During their 4-3 win over the Washington Nationals in 13 innings, the Cubs walked the Nats slugger six times while he was also hit by a pitch, making him the first player to reach base seven times in MLB history wit

Washington Nationals ace Max Scherzer was 1 strike away from a perfect game when on a 2-2 count threw inside on the pinch-hitter Jose Tabata.  The pitch hit Tabata on the elbow, but not without controversy.  On the pitch, Tabata seemed to lean into the pitch which wasn't very far off the inside of the plate...

Yankees Need To Stop Bryce Harper
So much is made of the Washington Nationals Pitching people forget they also have one of the best young offensive players in the game. Bryce Harper is probably as good as he thinks he is and that's saying something. Harper is brash, cocky and a little arrogant but man can he play...
