The New York Giants give Eli a big boost on the offensive line with Miami OG Ereck Flowers. Armen and Levack talked to Flowers a few weeks before the draft.

At a massive 6’6, 330 lbs, Flowers is a project OT that will likely move to OG at the beginning of his career. He started all 13 games at left tackle in 2013, and only missed one game at left tackle in 2014. He did have a knee injury that required surgery, but only missed one game.

Flowers strength lies in run blocking due to his large frame and strength. His pass blocking needs refinement. His large body structure contributes to some imbalance in his technique, so that will be the focus point of his development.

Flowers lead all offensive lineman in bench press reps at the NFL combine with 37.

The 2015 NFL Draft this year was held in Chicago, Illinois. It's the first time that the event was not at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. The new environment brought the majority of the first round draft picks, but not the top two, Marcus Mariota and Jameis Winston.
