Tim Tebow has been named the new starting quarterback for Denver Broncos.  The Broncos might not benefit, but the NFL will.

Tim Tebow will start his first game this season for the Denver Broncos on October 23 against the Miami Dolphins.  Tebow saw some action in the second half of a 29-24 loss to the San Diego Chargers on Sunday.  Tebow completed 4-of-10 passes for 79 yards and a touchdown.  He also ran six times for 38 yards and a touchdown.

We can argue all day long about whether the Broncos will benefit from Tim Tebow being their starting QB or not.  There is no argument when it comes to whether the NFL will be more interesting with Tim Tebow being the Broncos starting quarterback rather than Kyle Orton.

Tim Tebow is one of the most compelling and polarizing players in the NFL.  His jersey is still selling like hot cakes and fans are putting up billboards promoting him.  They're not doing that for Kyle Orton.  The NFL will benefit from having the more interesting quarterback at the controls.  Whether the Broncos benefit or not remains to be seen.
