There were two school scoring records set this weekend in high school basketball and as in polite, ladies first.

Jenna Erickson broke Tamarac's all-time scoring record almost exactly 5 years ago, but at the start of Saturday night's game, her hold over that mark was in jeopardy. Jenna's younger sister, of all people, was on the brink of dethroning the former NewsChannel 13 All-Star from the top spot. Emily Erickson is a five-year varsity player and the now-senior came in only 13 points away from passing her sister's mark of 1,629 points.

To make the moment even more special, it was senior night at Tamarac and Jenna, who's a college coach out of the area, surprised Emily to see her record fall. It did just that in the third quarter and the younger Erickson finished with 31 points and now stands with 1,648 career points. Tamarac also got the win over Emma Willard.

In Johnstown Friday night, Matthew Boyle entered the record books by going over the 1,000 point mark. The senior is the first Sir Bills boys player to reach that milestone in program history. Boyle finished with a game-high 23 points Friday night, but Johnstown lost to Schuylerville.
