UAlbany’s Blake Metcalf Featured In SportsCenter Not Top Ten
It was a rough week for the UAlbany Great Danes basketball team after three straight losses to Boston U, Stony Brook and Vermont. However, things took a turn towards the lighter side when center Blake Metcalf was featured on SportsCenter’s Not Top Ten yesterday for taking a shot to the groin from Vermont’s Brian Voelkel.
The play just doesn’t get easier to watch, regardless of how many times I rewind it.
Metcalf, by the way, responded to the unwanted spotlight on Twitter.

Largely he was in light spirits about the “notoriety” on the social network, which makes him a bigger man than I, even if he may only be half the man that I am after that shot to the groin.
