So far the road has been mostly kind to the UAlbany Great Danes. Wednesday they went on the road and defeated New Hampshire 68-62.

As we have seen a number of times with the Danes, the first half was low scoring as the Danes went off the court leading 30-16. UAlbany held on in the end and improved their record to 15-4 overall and 4-1 in the America East conference.

The Wildcats of New Hampshire cut that halftime lead all the way down to one point at 38-37. However, right after, it was UAlbany who went on an 11-2 run to put the game away.

Sam Rowley the big Aussie notched his third straight double double scoring 10 points and grabbing 10 boards. The Great Danes were led again by Mike Black who scored 22 points. He also secured six rebounds in a solid all around game for the guard and leader of the club.

The Wildcats have lost seven straight games overall. Also of note they are 0-9 on the year when the opponent shoots over 40%. The Danes shot 43%.

The road trip continues on Saturday at Hartford then begin a four game home stand against Boston University next Wednesday. Currently the Great Danes are tied with Vermont for second place in the conference. Both are a half game behind Stony Brook, but the Danes do have the best overall record in the conference at 15-4.
