While the University at Albany men's lacrosse team didn't achieve it's ultimate goal of winning an NCAA championship, the Danes continue to live on in the memory of fans across the country.

Despite losing to Notre Dame in the NCAA quarterfinals, UAlbany will be remembered for the dominance of Lyle Thompson and his back-to-back Tewaaraton Awards.

But also, the Danes will be remembered for goalie Blaze Riorden scoring this goal against Cornell in the first round:

Riorden's goal is up for "Best Play" at this year's ESPY Awards. It is the second year in a row that the Danes have been nominated for an ESPY, as last year Thompson was up for "Best Male College Athlete."

If you want to vote for Riorden's goal to make it through the first round of competition, you can vote here.

The bad news for Riorden? He's taking on Odell Beckham Jr.'s famous catch in that first round...
