The Hall of Fame broadcaster and New York Yankee broadcast team member Suzyn Waldman started off a recent Yankee home game in a unique way. The voice of Yankee baseball since 2005 with John Sterling performed the national anthem pre-game. You can watch the complete performance below.

Why did Waldman sing the national anthem? Well according to a story by Randy Miller at NJ.com, Waldman and pitcher Gerritt Cole had a pledge that if Cole ever became a Yankee, Waldman would sing the national anthem before the team's home opener.

Waldman is no stranger to showcasing her musical talents. Before joining the Yankee broadcast team, Waldman was a Broadway actress.
