After their impressive 15-3 over then ranked number seven Syracuse, the UAlbany Great Danes knew they would climb in the national rankings. How far did they climb? Despite the blowout win over a top seven team in the country on the road, the Great Danes only climbed two spots to the number two ranking in the country.

The Coach Scott Marr led Great Danes trail just the Duke Blue Devils who received twenty three out of a possible thirty one first place votes. Albany and Duke are not scheduled to play each other this season. However the Great Danes will play the number three ranked Maryland Terrapins on March 10th.
