The Albany Firewolves have reached the National Lacrosse League Championship Series and will take on the Buffalo Bandits.  What more can you say about this team.  Their goalie Dougy Jamieson has been incredible and probably has been playing the best lacrosse of his career.  Both rookies Tye Kurtz and Alex Simmons have been sensational with so many goals and points good for near the top of the league.  Below is my quick take on this as seen in the Times Union:

The Albany FireWolves picked the perfect season to reach the NLL Championship Series. After last year's 3 win season and attendance not where it should be the FireWolves put a great product on the field and more fans in the seats in year three of a five- year deal at MVP Arena. Lacrosse fans want the FireWolves to make Albany home for the foreseeable future , but you need to grow the fan base. And even though the FireWolves don't release attendance figures the fans support got better this season with a chance to cap it all off with the NLL Championship.

MJ and I had on head coach and general manager Glenn Clark on Big Board Sports right here on 104.5 The Team ESPN Radio on Wednesday morning.  He is very proud of his group.  Below is our full interview with him.

They will host the Bandits next Friday May 17th at the MVP Arena and they will have a rocking crowd and I will predict that it will be the best crowd of the year.
