Would You Have Done What Manti Te’o Did?

Over the last week, a continuously developing story has been Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te’o and how his girlfriend who supposedly died from Leukemia back in September was a hoax. The latest details come from an interview between Te’o and ABC News correspondent Katie Couric, who taped an interview for this Thursday night’s edition of “Nightline,” in which Te’o admits he lied to the media for a short period of time after he discovered his online girlfriend never really existed.

Put yourself in Manti’s shoes for a second: if you had been in his position over the last month or so of the football season, would you have taken the actions that Te’o did and kept the hoax quiet for a brief period of time?
