ALBANY, NY — The University at Albany football team won handily last week 45-3 in their home opener at Casey Stadium. Fans came from miles to tailgate and soak in the sites and sounds around the UAlbany campus. I've always covered the X's and O's of the actual game, but last week I grabbed a camera and explored what else a game day has to offer.

On the field the Danes looked unstoppable and off the field was no exception. Fans tailgated for hours while they waited for the gates to open, Madison VanDenburg gave a live performance and there was plenty to do for the fans outside the stadium before the game.

Inside Casey Stadium, UAlbany added a new wrinkle. The Field Club is an area right behind the north end zone where fans can watch the game, play corn hole and enjoy a beverage. This is all happening about 10 feet from the end zone.

There are many different ways to experience the game and I tried to give a full spectrum into what you can expect when you go see the Great Danes.
