Aaron Rodgers Angered During New York Jets Practice Session

Veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers is looking to make more of an impact in his second season at the New York Jets than he did in his first, which would hardly be a stretch given the former Green Bay Packers star suffered a long-term injury within minutes of his debut game, and by all accounts, he is as committed to the cause in practice as he is when in NFL action.
In a recent New York Jets practice session, things descended quickly from the play being sloppy to Rodgers having his foot stepped on, with Rodgers reportedly not taking things too well in the process.
New York Jets fans will be hoping that the coming season will finally see an end to their long-running pursuit of postseason action and may well want to place a bet on such an outcome. In which case, the insights you can garner here from the CBS betting site could prove vital in your pursuit of the best odds and largest potential payout.
As a four-time NFL MVP and former Super Bowl winner, Rodgers is better placed than anyone at the MetLife Stadium when it comes to knowing what it takes to be a winner, and if that manifests itself in their star performer having a hissy fit during practice, so be it.
Wide receiver Allen Lazard, a former Packers team-mate of Rodgers’, commented on the QB’s mood;
"I would say 'demonstrative' is a good word for him," said Lazard, Rodgers' former Green Bay Packers teammate. "You're talking about one of the best, if not the best, quarterback of all time, and his standard and level of play is something a lot of guys haven't seen yet. Even this organization -- they haven't really been with him on game day because being with him on the sideline on a Sunday is different.”
"Honestly, he expects the same standard that he holds himself to out of everyone else, and today just didn't resemble that at all. I think as an offense; we were just a little bit sloppy." Lazard added.
That sentiment was echoed by tight end Tyler Conklin, who stated.
"I think that's the beauty of playing with a great like that,"
"You have someone that's going to, at all times, hold everybody accountable, no matter who you are. I think that's kind of something that not every team has. I think that's really a blessing at the end of the day to have someone that cares that much and has a standard like that.”
"That's going to become our standard as a team. But to have a Hall of Famer who has won a SuperBowl -- been there, done that -- I think that's necessary." Conklin stated.
No doubt this is one of the reasons why Robert Saleh pushed to bring in a player of Rodgers’ calibre. Not only for his playing abilities but his potential impact on those around him, which should act as an impetus to see players around him step up, or at least that would be hope.
Last season, the Jets managed just 18 touchdowns, the lowest total in the NFL, and a fit Rodgers will at least reverse that particular trend.
