The end is never pleasant. For the Devils the end will be bitter for a long Summer ahead.

The Devils lost again Sunday, again at home, this time to Rochester 3-2. It is the 1st time this year the Devils led after 2 periods and lost a  game without earning at least 1 point.

Goals by David Wohlberg and Mike Sislo staked Albany to a 2-1 lead after the 2nd period. However then came the 3rd and disaster.

The Americans got goals from Cody McCormick at 2:05 of the 3rd, followed by the game winner, this off the stick of Mark Mancari at 11:06 to close out the scoring and the game and a hoped for playoff spot for the Devils.

Albany has 3 meaningless home games remaining to play out. Their 71 points leaves them 8 back of 7th and 8th place ( tied right now between Connecticut and Norfolk) so the math doesn't work with only 6 points remaining to be gained.

Albany out shot Rochester 38-36 in the game but that is of no consequence when they watch the film.

Next up with 3 left is Connecticut. The game is Friday and face off is at 7:00P.M.
