Aurora Games Will Put Focus On Woman’s Athletics [AUDIO]

The first-ever Aurora Games Festival will be held at the Times Union Center August 20th thru the 25th and isn't looking to compete with men's athletics. Creator and Executive Producer of the games Jerry Solomon isn't trying to show you how well women could compete with men because that's not what the games are about. The Aurora Games Festival is a chance to showcase and truly enjoy women's athletics for what makes them great.

As someone who covers primarily men's sports, it's difficult for me to not compare an event like the Aurora games and the world-class female athletes to their male counterparts. I'm happy that Jerry Solomon made his vision clear. This is a chance for us to see the best in the world compete. The women's game is just different, not better or worse just different and now the Capital Region gets to be the host of this one of a kind event.
