Back from Break, Back on the Road for RPI Hockey
The RPI men's hockey team hasn't played a home game in more than a month. The Sunday after Thanksgiving to be exact. Since then, the Engineers have played close games that have resulted in a frustrating seven game losing streak. That stretch includes tight losses at the Catamount Cup in Burlington, Vermont this past weekend.
On Friday night, RPI forced overtime late in regulation only to give up the game-winner with 39 seconds left to #11 Northeastern in OT. Saturday, the Engineers owned a 2-0 lead a few minutes into the second period before losing 4-2 to Vermont.
The weekend ahead presents its own unique challenges; one on the road and one at home. One in conference, one out of conference. The long wait between home games will end on Saturday when RPI hosts Army at the Houston Field House.
