Baffert Goes Back to Back in the Travers

For the second consecutive summer trainer Bob Baffert steals the headlines at the Travers. Last year it was Arrogate and Saturday it was West Coast winning the Mid-Summer Derby and sending the three year championship race into total chaos. Surprisingly none of the three individual Triple Crown winners were a factor, and nobody challenged West Coast. Since losing two years ago with Triple Crown winner American Pharoah, Baffert has comeback and won the last two Travers, and he wasn't even in the house to see witness it. He was watching and smiling back in California.
