The 2023 Capital Region Pizza Tour is fully underway for Dave Portnoy and the crew at Barstool Sports.

With Portnoy spending time in his new home in Saratoga Springs during the summer, he and the Barstool staff have been visiting local area pizza places, sampling slices as part of their One Bite Pizza Review series.

Their fourth stop in the Capital Region came at Slice of Glenville, and though the pizza itself "made no sense" to Portnoy, he still gave it a very high rating.

Barstool Sports' Dave Portnoy Rates 'Slice of Glenville' in Pizza Review

After providing One Bite Pizza Review scores for three other Capital Region pizzerias (two in Saratoga Springs and one in Malta) over the past few weeks, Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy made his way to Slice of Glenville to do yet another pizza review.

Here's how it went:

Here were a few of the highlights of the review video:

  • At first glance, Portnoy remarked oh, interesting after opening the lid of the pizza box.
  • After saying what an interesting looking pizza it was, he described it as a bit thicker and in-between a bar pizza and a regular thin-crust pizza.
  • He said it smelled like his hometown pizza, a pizza which he rated a perfect 10/10.
  • He wondered aloud what type of oven Slice of Glenville uses, then stated that he's never had a pizza quite like this one.
  • Overall, it was a unique pizza that was kind of his style.

Dave Portnoy rated the pizza at Slice of Glenville a 7.8 out of a possible 10, the highest rating that he has given a Capital Region slice in 2023.
