It was a historic game yesterday in New Orleans, but unfortunately, the Giants came out on the wrong side of history.

The Giants put up 49 points, got six touchdown passes from Eli Manning and three TD catches from Odell Beckham Jr., but still found a way to lose to the Saints, 52-49.

Cai Forbath kicked a field goal with no time left on the clock to end the shootout.

The Giants defense was a sieve, letting Drew Brees throw for seven touchdowns and 511 yards in the win. The Saints also ran for 101 yards as a team.

Manning looked great as well, throwing for 350 yards in the loss. The six touchdowns were accompanied by just one interception.

Beckham had eight catches and 130 yards in the game to go along with his three touchdowns.

The Giants are now 4-4 overall but remain in first place in the NFC East, a half-game ahead of the Redskins and Eagles, who sit at 3-4.
