Bob Costas Out Sick Tonight With Eye Infection

Bob Costas called into The Today Show but had to have help dialing the phone as his vision is now impaired with an eye infection that has spread to both of his eyes.

"I was trying to throw a complete game here," said Costas. "But I think we're going to have to go to the bullpen, and I don't know if you're aware of this or not, but you're Mariano Rivera, at least tonight,'' Costas said to Matt Lauer. "Let's hope it's only tonight."

Costas had been admirably hosting the Olympics in Sochi on NBC but has not been able to get rid of his eye infection.
