Race number 3 in the Chase for the Sprint Cup Championship took place at Dover International Speedway at the AAA 400  on Sunday afternoon.  Brad Keselowski would continue his fantastic season by taking the checkered flag. It was Brad's 5th victory in 2012 and his first at the "Monster Mile".

It looked to be all Kyle Busch's race.   He had nothing to lose on Sunday as he would take the lead at lap 35 and hold on to it for a majority of the rest of the race leading the most laps out of any car on the track. He had lost the last 6 races that he led the most laps. Late in the race, Jimmie Johnson would take over the lead with Busch right on his tail.  JJ would have to lay off the throttle in order to save gas so Busch would take the lead over again. With 1o laps to go Busch would pit quickly for fuel as would Denny Hamlin.  Keselowski would take over the lead from that point and take a chance of running out of fuel to get the win. Jeff Gordon would follow in 2nd place with Mark Martin, Jimmie Johsnon and Carl Edwards rounding out the top 5.

It was a bad day for Matt Kenseth who would have something  in his rear suspension break at lap 308.   A few laps later he would hit the wall. He was 2 laps down and in 14th place at the time. It was also a bad day for Kasey Kahne who was running in the top 5 late in the race but would end up feeling a vibration with a loose wheel. He would then be penalized for speeding in pit row costing valuable track position.

With the win Keselowsk now takes the lead in the Chase. Here are the current standings:
