It's no surprise that when Byron Hunt was fired up over the Giants defensive performance against the Detroit Lions.The Giants defense may have been a surprise early in the season but Olivier Vernon, Janoris "Jack rabbit" Jenkins and Damon "Big Snacks" Harrison have led a transformation that is pretty stunning. The Giants offense is not all that impressive which you'll hear from Byron but they've been carried to the verge of a playoff birth by the defense. As a matter of fact many people are drawing a comparison to the Giants teams that were able to upset the Patriots not once but twice in the Super bowl.
