CAA Announces 2021 UAlbany Football Schedule

The long-awaited announcement of the University of Albany Great Danes Football schedule is here! The season will be short but sweet with the Great Danes playing six conference games with the hopes of earning the Colonial Athletic Association's bid into the FCS Playoffs. UAlbany football will begin on March 6th at New Hampshire and the regular season will conclude April 10th home against Villanova.

This is great news as it was unclear if the CAA would be able to have a conference schedule at all. The Great Danes are stacked with talent led by Red Shirt Sophmore Quarterback Jeff Undercuffler. Coming off of a playoff run last year that ended with a 47-21 loss to Montana State in the second round of the FCS playoffs the Great Danes were hungry to get back at it and see if they could take another step forward in the CAA and the FCS. With this news, they'll finally get their chance. It's not going to be easy waiting until March but I'd rather wait until March than wait until next season.

Now let's cross our fingers that by March 20th we'll be able to actually attend games and cheer on the Great Danes in person!
