A world record was set this past weekend out in Western New York. The eleven day Power Play in Buffalo set a new sports world record for the longest hockey game ever played. Over two hundred fifty hours of hockey took place in Upstate New York over the course of two weeks. The 11 day Power Play raised over 1.2 milliion dollars for the Roswell Park Cancer Institute. The leading scorer over the course of the eleven day marathon was the capital region's own Kenny Corp. Corp played close to one hundred hours of hockey during the marathon. He joined Levack and Goz this past Friday and said this about the overall event.

The 11-Day Power Play was an event that Mike and Amy Levankowski came up with to raise money for Roswell Park cancer research by playing the world’s longest hockey game, by beating the previous record of 10 days set in Alberta.
