Capital Region City Named One of Nation’s Top 10 For Hot Dogs
We are hitting prime hot dog eating season and one Capital Region city will certainly be eating its fair share in the months ahead.
It quite possibly is the perfect food. It is compact, you can eat it on the go, it can be made with an endless combination of toppings, and they are cheap. They may not be the best food for you, but not many foods beat a great hot dog with just the right combination of all your favorite fixings.
With all the great hot dog joints we have here in the Capital Region, it is no surprise that a local city was named one of the top ten most popular hot dog cities in the country by Eat This, Not That!
Now, full disclosure, this top 10 list is based on per capita consumption, not quality. But one can assume the reason so many hot dogs are being consumed in these cities is they are so dang tasty. There are cities outside this list that may consume more total hot dogs, but these are the 10 where the popularity is based on consumption per person.
For the local city that made this list, Eat This, Not That! says "...New York state's capital city might agree that a hot dog is a sandwich."
