This week on 104.5 the Team we are continuing the #CapitalRegionGreatestSportsMomentBracket as we are trying to crown the best sports moment in the history of the Capital Region as decided by you! Today's matchup consists of another local championship team that may have had their 35th anniversary the other day and a moment in Saratoga that many fans in the Capital Region won't soon forget.

(4) RPI Men's Hockey Team Wins 1984-85 College Hockey Title

The Engineers had a dominating season in 1984-85 going 35-2-1 earning a 1 seed in the NCAA Men's Hockey tournament. They won a thriller overtime game in the semi-finals against Minnesota-Duluth before taking down Providence in the champions game 2-1. It was an amazing moment for the program!

(5) American Pharaoh loses to Keen Ice in 2015 Travers Stakes

Everyone remembers the name American Pharaoh for many reasons. Triple Crown winner is the obvious one but he has been a proud papa to many other horses since. In 2015, fresh off that Crown he came to Saratoga as a heavy favorite and lost to Keen Ice in the upset. It was a great moment in the Spa city for sure!
