Capital Region Greatest Sports Moment Bracket: Play-In Matchup 4

This week on 104.5 the Team we are continuing the #CapitalRegionGreatestSportsMomentBracket as we are trying to crown the best sports moment in the history of the Capital Region as decided by you! There are so many great moments and like the NCAA had to expand their field, we expanded ours so therefore today we have our fourth and final play-in matchup today!

(7) Albany Firebirds 1999 Arena Bowl

After an 11-3 season in 199, the Albany Firebirds cruised to the Arena Bowl to face and host the #8 seed defending champion Orlando Predators on national television. The 4th quarter was wild but the Firebirds answered every Orlando score and Touchdown Eddie Brown won the MVP. (7) Albany Patroons 1984 Title

In 1984 Phil Jackson won his first championship as Head Coach and it was right here in Albany with the Patroons. It was an awesome moment for the Capital Region especially in hindsight considering Jackson's prowess as a Head Coach.
