It’s been longtime since the Yankees spent a lot of money on a starting pitcher, but this is the off-season to do it. General Manager Brian Cashman has already stated the Yankees are willing to go above the $208M luxury tax threshold for 2020. That means the Yankees should be all in for Gerrit Cole and Stephen Strasburg. It’s time for the Yankees to deviate from the game plan, and revert back to the good old days, when spending money was never an obstacle.
