Sometimes great matchups fall into the laps of schedule makers and that's exactly what has happened with the season opener for the Knicks. When a trade was struck to send Carmelo Anthony to the Thunder, the Knicks already had Oklahoma City on its schedule to start the 2017-'18 season and naturally drama was created for New York's opener.

If you're a New York Knicks fan, all you can do is hope that your young team grows up in a hurry. It's Kristaps Porzingis' time at Madison Square Garden, but he can't do it alone.
