At the end of the day at Talladega Superspeedway it came down to teammates competing for the checkered flag.  Jeff Burton and Clint Bowyer were battling it out for Richard Childress Racing but it's Bowyer who comes away with the win, his first of the season.  After the race Bowyer said he hates when it comes down to that, but it is what it is.

You owe it to your team, to your sponsors to go out and win the race. Unfortunately, it came down to that situation.

-Clint Bowyer

Jeff Gordon was not happy at the end of the race as he felt he was deceived by teammate Trevor Bayne  who said he was going to push Gordon,  but that never happened.  Gordon tweeted after the race that He "doesn't like what this has become".  That of course in reference to the two car style of racing and reliance on partners for Talladega.  Gordon would finish up 27th.
