Some of the best basketball minds have joined the Capital Region's fight against cancer ever since the American Cancer Society launched the Coaches vs Cancer BasketBall thirteen years ago.

UAlbany head coach Will Brown and his wife, Jaime, have been there every step of the way of this event and now Siena's Jamion Christian and his wife, Allie, jump in for their first year.

Coaches vs Cancer has pulled the support of some of the biggest names in college basketball. From Jim Boeheim, to Tom Izzo to Mike Brey and this year, Mike Hopkins will come back to New York to receive the Inspiration Award. Hopkins is coming off a Pac-12 coach of the year season with Washington, his first as a head coach. The longtime Syracuse assistant is no stranger to the Albany area through his many recruitment trips around the state.
