Comedian with 14 Million TikTok Followers Adds Capital Region Show in 2024
Few celebrities, let alone comedians, have had a quicker rise to fame than Matt Rife.
The comedian has gone from underground, to up-and-comer, to world-renowned in a very short amount of time. He has officially announced a new stand-up comedy tour, one which will take him around the world. One stop on this tour will happen in the Capital Region, though it's not happening until early 2024.
Either way, we have the latest details on how you can see him live.
Comedian Matt Rife Schedules Tour Date in Capital Region in Early '24
A story from ABC News 10 in Albany, New York shared the news that comedian Matt Rife will be performing a stand-up show in the Capital Region in the near future. Rife is slated to perform at Proctors Theatre in Schenectady on January 31, 2024 as part of his new ProbleMATTic World Tour.
Tickets go on-sale Friday, June 9 on the Proctors website.
Rife is 27 years old, and his first acting credit came back in 2014. He's played parts in TV shows like Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Fresh Off The Boat, as well as parts in various small-budget films.
His "big break", in a sense, has come via his TikTok profile. Rife has accrued 14.2 million followers on his page, as well as 237.2 million likes on his videos. He almost exclusively posts videos of his stand-up comedy work, many of which have gone viral over the past few years, and garnered him a huge following as he continues his comedy career.
The announcement of the show date in Schenectady comes as part of a much larger announcement: a 100+ show, year-long world tour that will take Rife across the globe. It begins on July 20, 2023 in Bend, OR at Hayden Homes Amphitheater, and concludes on Friday, October 20, 2024 at Santeria Toscana 31 in Milan, Italy.
