The Buffalo Bills will next have to report to the facilities in Orchard Park for OTA's, which will take place on May 23rd, 30th and June 6th. Then it's mandatory minicamp in mid-June. That will happen between June 13-15.

After that, it's training camp.

While the Bills are still Super Bowl contenders heading into this season, they are not the number one contender like a year ago. There are even some who think the Bills have gone backwards and that their window has closed...that's preposterous, but most agree that the clock the ticking with their core a year older.

Von Miller, Micah Hyde, Jordan Poyer, Stefon Diggs, Dion Dawkins, Matt Milano, Mitch Morse and Tre'Davious White won't be in their primes forever; with Miller, Hyde, Poyer and Morse now all in their 30's.

The Bills knew they had to go into free agency and the NFL Draft, improving their offense and helping out quarterback Josh Allen.

They signed guard Connor McGovern, guard David Edwards and wide receivers Deonte Harty and Trent Sherfield. Then the Bills went mostly offense in the draft, most notably first round pick, Dalton Kincaid.

Kincaid was regarded as the best tight end in the 2023 NFL Draft. He was one of the best pass-catchers in the draft, regardless of position. Kincaid won't be asked to block, he will be asked to run routes and find open spots in the defense for Allen.

It's hard not to see the Travis Kelce similarities when you watch his highlights at Utah, but according to reports, Allen pushed for Kincaid to be the pick and that the Bills will use him like the Kansas City Chiefs use Kelce.

Kelce typically goes into the slot and doesn't line up at the point of attack, the way a traditional tight end would. He always tries to find the soft spots in a defense and sits in the open pockets for quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

It makes sense the Bills would want that as part of their offense. It would make the defense pick between a nickel package and a standard look, if the Bills have two tight ends on the field. This could also open things up for Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis.
