The College of Saint Rose ceased operations after the 2023-24 academic year, but the legacy of the institution lives on through its alumni network.
One notable alumnus is comedian Jimmy Fallon, the long-time host of NBC's The Tonight Show. Fallon arrived on campus at Saint Rose in 1992 but did not graduate, dropping out a semester early to pursue a career in comedy.
Fourteen years after he left the institution, Fallon returned, receiving his Bachelor of Arts in communications in May 2009. He was also awarded an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters at that time.
In March 2024, just months before the school was shuttered, Fallon made another surprise trip to his alma mater.

The Saturday Night Live alum joined comedian Nate Bargatze on-stage for comedy shows in Syracuse and Albany on March 8th and 9th, respectively. The comedians arrived in Albany on the morning of Saturday, March 9th, and before they took the stage at MVP Arena, they visited The College of Saint Rose's campus.
On Monday afternoon of this week, Fallon posted a reel on his Instagram feed, showing never-before-seen footage of his campus visit. We captured a few of the best moments from that video, and included them in a photo gallery below.
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon airs new episodes Monday through Thursday at 11:35PM EST. Bargatze, meanwhile, will be performing four shows at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut this weekend.
