The New York Giants are being featured on an unprecedented new documentary, and fans finally got their chance to see what the show will look like.

In case you missed it, the Giants are being featured on HBO's Hard Knocks, which has been around since 2001. There's a twist this season, however, as New York will be the first team to be featured in an "offseason" edition of the show.

The Giants' run on Hard Knocks will be the first of three editions of the show that will air during the 2024 season. Their episodes will be followed by the traditional "training camp" version, which will feature the Chicago Bears.

Then, the fourth-ever edition of the "in-season" Hard Knocks will air, with the entirety of the AFC North division (Ravens, Bengals, Browns, Steelers) being featured.

Specific to the Giants, the show will feature moves made by New York's front office from January through July of 2024. That will include, among others, trading for star edge rusher Brian Burns, and drafting promising wide receiver Malik Nabors.

It will also, sadly, include the departure of Saquon Barkley from the Giants. That episode will likely be tough to stomach for fans of Big Blue.

On Tuesday, HBO Max released the first trailer for Hard Knocks - Offseason. Have a look:

This looks absolutely outstanding, and I cannot wait to watch it. What's more, I am relieved that the Giants were chosen for the inaugural offseason version of the show, and are not being featured in the traditional way.

As a fan, I don't necessarily want to watch the Giants play football more than I have to in 2024.

The first episode premieres on July 2, 2024.
