With training camp for the inaugural Albany Empire season starting Monday morning, local talent Wade Hansen and Jordan Canzeri have become the faces of the franchise. The Tamarac and Troy grads, respectively, are two of the forty-five players going to camp with the Empire in a reboot of the Arena Football League in the Capital Region. That number will be trimmed to twenty-four, but it only makes sense for Hansen and Canzeri to make the squad.

Not only are they both high-level talents, having spent time in NFL training camps, but they are seat-fillers. Before any kind of winning tradition is established, Hansen and Canzeri will be a reason to go see the Empire play and will be immediate crowd favorites.
