Many people who know me know I'm not a great cook. My coworkers have been criticizing my daily meals at the station. They're not much different than those of an elementary student. Fruit Roll-Ups, cheese sticks, apple — you get the picture.

And then, I was mocked on the internet for not being able to open a can of tuna. (See Twitter exchange here.) I'm not sure what to say about that, other than it was a truly sad moment in my life.

But I had the perfect opportunity to improve. Billy and Josh, two chefs at Henry's Tavern, invited me into their kitchen to learn how to make one of their menu favorites, mushroom and asparagus risotto. Henry's Tavern is known for its eclectic flair for craft beers and tasteful dishes, so I donned a special Domestic Diva apron and a chef's hat and dived right in.

I think Levack's reaction when he tasted the finished product tells it all. "It's good. Wow! You're a hell of a teacher."

I had a ton of fun with Billy and Josh, although I'm not sure I could do what they do every day. Henry's Tavern has a fun and relaxed atmosphere, and it shows in their food and menu. Here's a look at some of the other dishes they offer:
