Pete Incaviglia is a perfect choice to be the Field Manager for the ValleyCats. He has 35 years of experience in professional baseball, and played in the majors for 12 years. If you’re old enough, you probably remember his playing days. He said the difference between Independent and affiliated baseball, is winning. That’s exactly right. When you manage an affiliated team your top job is to develop players, when you manage in the Independent league, putting the best players on the field and winning becomes the most important.
